Developing London's Museums

The process of developing and implementing the Renaissance London partnership of the Capital's leading museums revealed a range of issues and challenges specific to London's museum sector arising from the complex and wide ranging mix of cultural organisations that operate in London.

As a result, we worked with the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council and the Renaissance London partnership to develop and put in place a new strategic approach to the Renaissance programme in London. This was based around the key principles of raising its level of ambition and impact; putting in place more effective business management processes and delivery structure; and extending the reach of the programme across London in order to reach more museum users.

These guiding principles provided the framework for the new Renaissance London business plan which demonstrated a clearer strategic approach and new ways of working in order to more effectively deliver the programme in London.
