London Development Agency : London Production Industries Strategy
London's manufacturing support bodies and other key stakeholders represented a strong, but disparate group of organisations with a common interest in improving the sector's competitive position. We established the London Production Industries Commission for the LDA to bring these organisations together to agree a strategy and three year plan of action to help improve the sector's performance.
Following an extensive consultation programme comprising a widely disseminated consultation document, series of theme papers and business roadshow, the Commission was able to agree an intervention strategy which would enable them to work closely to deliver its priorities for action for the benefit of local manufacturing businesses.
