Department for Culture, Media and Sport : European Capital of Culture 2008
We provided project management support to the Department and its Advisory Panel of leading cultural experts over a 15 month period and undertook the detailed assessment of bids from leading UK cities to become the European Capital of Culture for 2008.
Our work involved an appraisal process to assess a complex mix of cultural, social and economic factors in order to provide a firm evidence base from which decisions could be taken. This process led to the selection of Liverpool as the winning city.
