Public sector organisations often require external consultancy support to project manage major initiatives at different stages in their development and implementation. There are a number of sound reasons for this, enabling these organisations to address important aims and objectives. Examples include:
- to bring an external and impartial perspective to important and difficult decisions on the allocation of funding to large scale programmes
- where additional resources and expertise are needed to co-ordinate the development and implementation of major programmes of support
- to manage complex work programmes which require effective partnership working and co-ordination of interlinked strands of activity.
The Department for Culture, Media and Sport engaged Kingshurst Consulting to undertake a detailed appraisal of bids from UK cities to become European Capital of Culture 2008.
The London Development Agency is charged with implementing the Mayor's Food Strategy (2006-2016). This has a wide ranging and interlinked action plan that includes the Local Food Infrastructure Project which we are currently project managing.
We were appointed by Medway Council to set up and then project manage a wide ranging work programme for the the Gillingham Education Action Zone.
