Museums, Libraries and Archives Renaissance Review
Our major national review of the Government's Renaissance in the Regions programme to transform England's regional museums included an extensive consultation programme in every region to draw on the direct experience of those involved in its delivery. Its purpose was to identify lessons learned that could be applied more widely, particularly in terms of new approaches to engaging museum users and testing new ways of working.
As a result of the good practice identified in different regions, a series of recommendations were developed based around a clearer vision and priority themes to drive the programme, as well as continued support for experimentation and innovative ways of working by regional museums.
